The Oilers and Militia will renew their rivalry on July 27th. The Oilers went 2-0 against the Militia last season, with the 2nd game being one of the most thrilling games of the season with botn teams holding the lead in the 4th quarter until the Oilers finally sealed the deal.

This season the Militia have restocked their roster and are considered to be a much deeper and more talented team than they were last season. So this is sure to be another thrilling game between the two arch rivals!

Please join us for another great night of football! We appreciate all the support our fans have shown in our return to Randolph this season!

The Oilers are hungry this season; so it's  TIME TO EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recap:

* Final score: 13-0.
* Defensive slugfest for most of the game. Neither offense was able to get much going.
* The Oilers run game clicked at times, behind strong running from Leon McBean, Brooks Payne, and Frank Gaudette.
* The Oilers defense shut out Quincy until the final minute of the game. The lone score until that point was on a 90 yard punt return for a td by Quincy in the second quarter.
* The Oilers defense was staunch all night, behind a brilliant performance by LB John Guy.
* Also having strong defensive performances for the Oilers were: LB Colby Gallagher, LB Mike McGonagle, DT Karl Wells, and DE Mike Farley. Additionally the entire Oilers secondary had strong games, shutting down the Miliita passing attack for most of the game: a strong rotation on the secondary consisting primarily of: Norm Burns, Anthony Goss, John McNeil, Mark Royster, Cesar Barbosa, and Marcus Mitchell.
* The Oilers had several opportunities to take the lead in the second half, but the offense sputtered and couldn't put it in the end zone.
* In the 4th the Militia intercepted the Oilers with 11 minutes to go at the 5, and returned it to the 30.
* With un der 7 minutes to go, the Oilers defense again rose to the occasion, stuffing Quincy deep in their own zone. But Quincy ran a fake punt on 4th and 15 and picked up a first down. Allowing Quincy to run the clock down further.
* Randolph got the ball back on their 29 with 2:30 to go, but got stopped on 4th down.
* Quincy looked to be running out of the clock, but took the Oilers by surprise with a long pass that went for a touchdown. That put the game away 13-0. The Oilers tried driving to make it close and try for an onside kick, but ran out of time.
